Hi, I’m Katie! Thank you for being here.

I found pottery as a way to switch my brain off, to get away from screens and take a rest from a very full life -- I'm a Learning & Capability Manager for a large corporate here in New Zealand, and a mumma to two very small children. Pottery is my quiet.

These days I work out of a small corner of our home in rural New Zealand, north of Auckland, chasing the colours I see on the coast here, swirling water, deep ocean, sandy shorelines, and testing glazes so other people don't have to learn the hard way.

I built the Glaze Personalities Method because I was tired of watching potters, myself included, blame themselves for results that were never really their fault. I want you to feel really proud of what you pull out of the kiln.

Everything here is handmade in New Zealand and built around the idea that experimentation is part of the process, not proof you’re doing it wrong.
