Meet the Maker

Hi, I’m Katie (:

I make pottery, test glazes obsessively, and overthink nearly every kiln opening.

I started ceramics thinking the wheel would instantly click for me and instead spent years making pieces I didn’t love and glazing work into complete disaster territory. So I did what every slightly type-A creative person does and turned glazing into a full research project.

Now it’s the part of pottery where my work finally feels like mine.

I’m inspired by natural textures, imperfect forms, layered surfaces, and the weird magic that happens when glazes melt together in ways you absolutely did not plan.

Everything here is handmade in New Zealand and built around the idea that experimentation is part of the process, not proof you’re doing it wrong.
